Let me be precise, some of them. Not blaming them, I also can see that there are pros and cons of using these applications, and sometimes, I feel that it is might be convenient.

After all, social media and online dating apps act as a platform made for people to get to know each other and befriend. However, with the current world, we are living in, online dating can be scary and dangerous. There are cases where teenagers get kidnapped and raped after met someone online in real life especially those who are perverts and hookup-seekers. A very extravaganza one. There are times when I was wondering what is the reason that made people choose social media for courtship purposes.

Well, I guess they are lonely, bored, or just for fun. Last week, online dating yay or nay, I online dating yay or nay talking with my friends via video call. Without we realized, our conversation leads to this online dating issues. My friend once used online dating apps Tinder. She signed up not for the courtship purposes but to fulfill her curiosity about the apps. As we all think or at least what I expected, it full of people who use it to look for hookers.

Indeed, it is a very scary platform. She told us that many men dm-ed her to have you-know-what-it-is and while laughing, she said that she was stupid for putting her picture up hahaha. Serve her right. Besides, she also using this app called HelloTalk, where people around the world using it as a platform to learn languages.

To be honest, I also use this app but I rarely active and it kinda feels bored sometimes. I thought it could help me improve my Korean language but I doubt it now. My friend felt scared and anxious, the day where they supposed to meet, she blocked the guy.

Poor guy. My Mandarin lecturer was studied in Beijing and when she was in her first or second year of the degree, she signed up BaitulJannah account. It is an Islamic online dating app. At first, she just signed up without serious intention. Who knows, one day, she will meet her future husband.

Well, it is her husband now. They met and get to know each other for only months before decided to tie the knot. Her husband is a doctor who studied in Egypt. I guess it did work out very well. Lucky my lecturer! Although, I think online dating apps amidst the creepy and weirdo people, online dating yay or nay, somehow, there will be a normal guy who genuinely looking for a normal relationship.

Or at least I have this tiny-teeny positive feeling towards online dating. What can Online dating yay or nay conclude, in everything we do, there will be pros and cons, online dating yay or nay.

It depends on how you use it and most importantly, be smart. Online dating somehow can be a little tricky- either you get catfish or get lucky.
